how do we know that these are the only companies that had lead paint? why would they be responsible if these were from years before they found out about the poisoning? EPA is supposed to have a superfund for cleanup’s such as these. i bet there were more than just 3 companies that made lead paint. whats to say that the construction company that painted the houses knew of the possible poison? can’t they be held responsible? if not, they why do we hold these companies responsible? we don’t know if the owner may have purchase paint from out-of-town or for that matter out-of-state. concern is that the state does not want to help cover the cleanup, and why the fed’s are not helping.
