the most dangerous germs, should be taken somewhere outside a heavily civilian population. this is a too risky of a deal for this to be placed in the harm’s way. fed’s should have accounted for that but apparently they did not think. all it takes is one leak and they would have a major castrophe. not only of the folks that live in town, but what about the folks that are transiting through the various airports.

“The council said a far more detailed analysis of the risk of lethal germs leaking from the lab was needed.”

Hmmmmmmm– I wonder what the risk of LETHAL germs leaking from the lab would be in a metropolitan city like Boston??? I think we should study this further. Lets not make any quick decisions.

    wudchu,

You wrote “all it takes is one leak and they would have a major castrophe.” But that’s what governments live for! Then they get to come in take over an area, take people’s guns from them, bust heads, prevent private organizations from bringing in aid, etc. Just think New Orleans and Katrina for a vivid example of that. The gov’t will use any excuse they can for expanding their power; if one doesn’t exist, then they’ll create it.

How does the CDC contain such elements? Would they not study the CDC for some answers?

How does the CDC contain their germs? They are in Atlanta. Big city, busiest airport in the USA.

Ever hear of Plum Island and the Dept. of Agriculture’s bio lab there? That is coastal Long Island.

But please… advertise this more to the terrorists. Publish the studies, the locations and the shortcoming and possibilities. The terrorist will then come up with a few of their own just in case our ideas don’t work for them.
