DUI or DWI …….. both translate to probable impairment. The legal system in this country is constipated and needs an enema when it comes to getting tough with drunks. It’s a sensitive political issue so I doubt we’ll see anything change in the near term. The only answer is to impound ANY vehicle a DUI or DWI is caught driving for 6 months and a mandatory 1 year license suspension. Second offenders get a lifetime revocation and forfeiture of the vehicle. That will create a consequence that can’t be ignored. Anybody think that’ too draconian? So is wrongful death at the hands of some moron who lacks personal responsibility and judgement.

    Lifetime revocations Dread?

Why stop at drinking drivers Dread? The drivers doing the majority of killing on the roads are sober and speeding or not paying attention.

You are a victime of a well orchestrated MADD marketing campaign.

Please get a clue. Using your logic, one speeding ticket desrves a lifetime revocation. I hope you have public transportation nearby.

It never ceases to amaze me how hoodwinked the public has become from the MADD rhetoric.
