    Your comment..

“I know several families that came over & stayed, some live close to me & they are great folks, but they aren’t standing in the welfare lines & breeding more thugletts with the entitlement mentality of everyone else can work but I don’t have to – irregardless of their race, like I said before – it’t the people themselves that make the distinction of if the wanna be a drain on society or a contributor”

Thugglets- exactly to whom are you referring? I have a Black wife and would not dare use that language. Thugs also include the Unibombers, the Timothy McVeighs, the nightriders, the Klanmen, the Osama Bin Ladens of this world. It’s people like you that keep this country divided. Some people are whiners period but at first you grouped the whole lot of them in. Texans didn’t milk anything? How would YOU know? I guess you like Barbara Bush’s comment that it’s scary that all of them are here. And? What genius solutions do you have? Yeah, some can get jobs and go on but if they do then with your pea-brain you’ll say it’s some quota that your company’s trying to meet / an affirmative action move. People like YOU are always going to whine about something too. There are too many Mexicans – well if the majority would bother to do their own work then there wouldn’t be any need for them would there? Blacks would rather move on to something else that has a better career path. Sharecropping is over with.

You really should have left off at the first paragraph – you’ve dug a huge hole here.

:snip:”but they aren’t standing in the welfare lines & breeding more thugletts with the entitlement mentality of everyone else can work but I don’t have to” :snip:

    Thuglets!!!
    ROTFLMAO!!!!!

That’s the best thing I’ve read all day!

Unfortunately, you can’t bring up legitimate issues without either sounding like, or being accused of, being racist.

The bottom line is; there is a significant difference in the percentages of basically worthless people depending on not only race, but location.

That’s not to say that all people of any one race or area are worthless, but depending on which group you’re referring to and where they are, your odds of finding a “thuglett” of any color will vary significantly.

Personally, I’m disgusted at the fact that our society has degraded to the point that someone in such a position of authority can have done so many immoral things, yet people by and large don’t care.

Beyond that, why was everyone calling for the resignation of the first idiot for buying a hot little hooker, but this guy can cheat on his wife as well as be an admitted prior drug user, and that’s OK.

So in politics it’s OK to cheat as long as you don’t pay for it?

You can smoke pot as long as you don’t inhale and cocain is OK as long as it was only a couple of times when you were younger?

What kind of a message does that send to our kids?

    Rediculous.

Saints Fan – do you know what race I am or did you just ASSuME???

You know very well what I stated & are trying to twist it around so you can spew your BS behind it!

Do you really want to know the answers to your questions? If so, read on…

Thugletts – pretty mush self explanatory if you get it! I guess you did since you grouped so many along with the already disclosed muggers & rapists that I included in the comment that has you irate.

How would I know about Texans milking anything – how about the press for one? Have you heard of it? I have heard, read & enjoyed learning about how neighbors helped neighbors out by coming together providing labor to remove downed trees, repair homes until insurance settlements could be received to finish the jobs, group BBQ’s to feed the hungry folks – they pulled together.

The LA folks – how did they pull together?
Answer me that? In the welfare & hand-out lines is where they congregated, but how many robbed or raped each other in the stadiums??? I’m curious to find out what you know that we don’t!

Barbara Bush is entitled to make whatever comment she wants, the last I looked we still have freedom of speech – who cares if I agree or not??? I never heard it until your spout off…

Genius Solutions I have… well, let’s see, if I was in charge I would tell em all to get off the couch, out of the trailers, off the streets & do something & if that didn’t work, then they can live under the I-10 bridge – lol – not really but I figured since I already got your goat I might as well drown it!

People like me… oh well, get used to it, there are more… just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean I am whining – but you sure seem to be!

It doesn’t matter how many Mexicans – they will still come – take a look at what they have to escape in Mexico & you will know it’s because they can have a better life here – THEY WORK!!! LOL – did that help any???

Blacks need to move on to something better than holding onto old sentiments & things that happened in the distant past that really never affected anything other than their attitudes toward other races, predominantly white folks! Maybe if we still had sharecropping a lot of the thugletts of their race would have work & be a contributor to the betterment of our society instead of a drain on it!

There are lots of other nationalities that were not discussed here in case you still have questions!

Oh, BTW Reason! Glad to put that smile on your face, because laughter is the best medicine!

    All have a great day!

Throwin it out there- maybe the reason that New Orleans neighbors couldn’t help out their neighbors after the storm was because their entire freaking city was flooded. You cannot help your neighbors get back on their feet by helping them clean up branches, bring food, whatever when both of your houses are under six feet of water. The neighbors they needed help from were the ones who weren’t also devastated, perhaps like some of their next state neighbors in Texas. Let’s stop this “us and them” attitude.

It’s funny too Mary, Houston complains a lot about the increased crime. I recall that it wasn’t exactly all that safe before. I had a friend who was transferred there with his family. He had to quit and move back to the Midwest almost immediately because the crime was so bad. Just my impression, but I think they doth protest too much.

I am damned proud of my state for taking in all of the Katrina people we could. Most of these people were not any problem. Most want to go home to Louisiana and the Big Easy a.s.a.p.

What bothers a lot of us Texans is the attitude that a lot of folks in Louisiana had that they didn’t want those New Orleans refugees in their cities because those refugees were somehow a bunch of “thuglets” as someone else called them. Folks from New Orleans are some of the coolest easy going people you will ever have stay with you. And they do return the favor.

    Oh no!!!!
    There goes the neighborhood. (j/k)
    lol

I wouldn’t be proud to be a “thuglett” or a “thug” as it’s been self proclaimed by young black rappers.

If people don’t like stereotypes, they should try not emulating them and they may just go away. Treat people with respoct, act respectful, and you will gain the respect of others. Unfortunately, it’s a rare thing these days.

As for people helping people in LA; make all the excuses you want. There was certainly no brotherly love in that stadium and no amount of finger pointing or excuses can justify it. The whole situation was horrible and the people there only made it worse by abusing each other.

    But that’s just one non-thuglett’s opinion…

Why are there so many people laying in wait to yell ‘racism’ any time someone disagrees with them. There ARE social issues so important and yet undiscussed because sure as heck, someone will stupidly yell racism any time the going gets tough. If I reference statistics about a certain group that are unfavorable to that group, am I a racist?
I think the only folks who would dare label another human as a ‘racist’, a hateful term in and of itself, have not themselves been called such a horrible name. Once you have been called that, you arent so quick to throw that label around anymore. You know, there are some Americans who think that racists, by definition, have to be white. Can you imagine?

Nedley, thanks for your post reminding us that not all Texans feel the same way as “C” does. It’s good to see that some people willingly did the “neighborly” thing and helped out their friends to the East. :-)
