People pay taxes to go to the DMV. Now the DMV arbitrarily stops providing the service and expect people to stop coming into it’s facility and if they do, they get whacked with a surcharge. So what’s the state going to do with all the money it’s saving by not providing the service? Yeah, right.
It would be different if they just gave a discount for using other methods as opposed to surcharging the face-to-face service. It amounts to the same thing, but looks different in peoples’ eyes.
