    Good – I think it’s about time these heavy hitters should have the fruits of their theft & fraude taken from them! Too bad the authorities did not treat the Enron execs the same way.

    …in the state of Florida that your property was the one thing they couldn’t take away from you. Am I wrong or is it different in this situation since it was a result of the criminal act?

    That’s only true if you declare personal bankruptcy I believe.

    Your property can’t be touched in Florida as long as it is your primary homesteaded property that you reside in. All other non homesteaded property are assets that can be forfeited.

    I love how he was a Senior VP. Hes 36, its just a fake title. I dont care how important he is, hes not a Senior anything.

    Bravo is right – white collar crime often hurts a wider net of individuals and then the criminal and thier family walks away witht he loot. Deal drugs and all your property is siezed, (not defending drugs here). Give them a $100,000 to buy a house and let the kids go to a state school and indemnify those who were hurt – its about time this became the rule and we might see a huge reduction in white collar crime
