This case sounds frivolous, if we go back to the basics of insurance law, the son automatically gets the proceeds of the policy. with the son being 17, it would go into trust for him till his 18th birthday, then he will have access to the money, unless if in the fathers will he stated the means of access to the money since his child was a minor and some guardianship has been made.
Of course the estate could take a lawsuit against the son for the wrongfull death, and that money could be recaptured via a lawsuit, but in the eyes of the insurance company, they have to go by designated beneficiary.
I think we all will agree the carrier did the right thing by filing a Dec action which will allow it to rely on a Court Order directing benefit payment and thereby avoiding a suit on the Policy

yah aaron killed his dad but he had good reasones to i think that the gov. sux if u really want to know why he did slimply ask him dont threton him dont try to scair him cuz it wont work it will just piss him off ask him how all this happend how it led up to that moment and tell him that know matter what happens that im still here and will always be his friend

yes what he did was bad….im not saying it was right but he had it bad too.
