Brokers’ Commissions at Issue in New York

    If they are going to have Insurance Agents disclose commissions, then they should have car dealers, jewelry sales, shoe salespeople, electronics sales, etc… disclose their commissions too.

    And, while we’re at it, let’s make it mandatory for all price tags to include the wholesale cost paid by the merchant

    I agree with the por broker i guess we are all working for free in this country how about getting the Government out of the business, while we are at it get rid of the IRS too we really dont need all of them.

    NY makes it very hard to do business with and other states will follow once it is approved, which if done than all commission based businesses must do so.
    This is how we pay our bills folks not to mention the commision percentages are getting lower and lower and the premiums higher and higher.

    LET’S ALSO DISCLOSE THE REGULATORS SALARIES AND PHONE NUMBERS ON OUR FORMS. HOW ABOUT ALL BANK EMPLOYEES AND BANKING DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS ALSO???

    Instead of concentrating on disclosure we should be concentrating on abuses of the system, also to include in the list should be our health care. A doctor’s office should have to reveal his real cost.

    Disclosure by doctors would be great especially since they’ve convinced the public that paying a physician’s assistant the same as if you’d seen the physician is good because you pay the going rate for the service, not who provides it. Maybe you guys should subcontract out to college students and have them be your assistants and then collect your full commission as if people had gotten your expertise in buying insurance.
