I live in Philly and the decrease in fire deaths is good news to me. When you share walls with your neighbors the rowhouse fire is a pretty scary thought! I volunteer at a neighborhood center that promotes fire safety awareness and gives away smoke detectors, etc. but there are still a few people I know who were personally affected this year by fires here. It is no wonder most companies want such high premiums to insure these properties.
