So, is she going to give away the millions to every other woman working in America? They should all get about $1 apiece. Woo-hoo! Cheese burger on me!

You were on target Al until your last sentence and then you lost all credibility and that’s too bad.

OK, let the games begin and before to bleeding hearts start, there is nothing racist in these remarks. They’re simply factual. In addition, I have no tolerance for sexual “harassment”. But let’s consider the facts.

We have an aggressive black female making $250K per year in a high visibility position with a nationally known organization who is offended by an aggressive black male using a comparatively harmless term that she must have heard before. You don’t climb the corporate ladder and suddenly take offense at something like that. She was successful and certainly had enough self-esteem to tell him to shut up and go away. Blacks enjoy using colorful language without any concern in their routine chat and in their music. Suddenly, it becomes offensive. Why now?Talk about a double standard. Why didn’t she file a complaint with the EEOC? If her suit wasn’t about money, will she donate her windfall profits to one of the many organizations that could put it to good use. Yeah right.

Let’s remember who was involved with this: Isiah Thomas, the guy who killed the CBA & has run the Knicks into the basement and strapped them for years with bad contracts. He’s not exactly a paragon of virtue. This should never have gotten to court in the first place – did you hear his testimony? Thomas came across as a caveman in a suit.
Bad all around – greedy plaintiff, stupid defendant, bad team, racially charged issue. Plaintiff wins. Hopefully the end of the mess.

She can keep up with the boys – you know, until she can’t.

I worked in a large bldg in DC twenty+ years ago with the HVAC crew, and a female electrician got hired. At the end of her first day she walked unannounced into the locker room while we were changing, as if there should be no notice of her sex, or as if we could do the same in the women’s locker room.

The same goes for pro sports – a 22 yr old female can interview naked jocks in the locker room. Could we turn those tables? Not a chance. It’s all make believe, folks, it’s a pretend world that the liberals live in and for some reason they aren’t happy unless we pretend along with them.

Local news reported that this woman initiated a confrontation with Thomas over who would report to whom. That seemed to set the stage for the friction that obviously existed. John R. raises some good points about the legitimacy of her complaints. I can remember when harass was two words.

One former boss cheerily called out “It’s a man’s world” as I left a few minutes early for an Insurance Women’s dinner.

A few days on one job, I was treated to hair curlingly racist sexist filthy not funny jokes at a business dinner. I was the only woman there and they really let them rip.
One office hosted a stripper for a principal’s birthday entertainment – stripper who took it all off, right in front of a window.
One guy at another office left a pair of sexy underwear on the desk of a female worker.
There was even a branch manager who escorted across state lines to our Christmas party a 15 year old female part time clerical person,
and the kid went home drunk.

I could go on an on.

My husband could not believe some of the stuff that went on. He said he thought that stuff went out with the horse and buggy.

Similar stuff and more I have seen with no women present. It’s the way guys act. I don’t condone it, I ignore it when I need to. If you complain you get ostracized. So as with many things in life, choose your battles, and when you lose don’t cry.

Women who want to be treated equal betray their true desire when they suddenly want special treatment based on sex. There’s no way around the logic of that statement.

The whole thing starts very young: “Mommy, tell Billy and Joey to let me play too! Waaaaaaah!!!”
