Am I missing something, what does this have to do with insurance?

Slow day at the office??? Only thing I could think of would be if the appraiser had been found guilty of an “error or omission” however looks like they were talking fraud – they then would not have had coverage from a criminal act…

    I think they’re just testing us…

ps. Doesn’t common sense dictate that you would receive “multiple” appraisals from different – disinterested parties and compare their results before you throw that kind of money at something that is only worth what a willing buyer is going to pay a willing seller?

The point is this: If Mandarin had won its case, Wildenstein and Co. may well have made a claim under their Professional Indemnity insurance. Since they didn’t lose the case, Wildenstein’s PI insurers can breath a sigh of relief.

I hope the above enlightens “Nobody Important” as to relevance.

With all the other real social issues threatening our world does anyone really give a hoot about an old painting that people with big egoes and too much money play with? The price of some of this stuff is absurd. You could feed the entire population of a poor country to years with the money these people play with. Ever notice it’s the same old paintings being sold over and over again?

poor melissa. you must lead an alful stressful life to worry so much about so many things. the life of the rich and famous is interesting reading. the life of bill gates and people like howard hughes are stuff of movies, dreams and gives us something to vicariously enjoy. i have compassion for the needy, yadda yadda yadda, but to get in a tither over this article is a little too much. if you stopped and smelled the roses i think you would live a less stressful life.
