hummmmm…regulations — rather than legislation – that’ll work! I mean the styro-foam sound material that was plastered on the walls wouldn’t have been there if they followed “regulations”…

Will it take another 100 deaths to make these people wake up?

Maybe the greedy “sons or an unwed mother” would think twice if it was one of their own.

If its too expensive to put in sprinklers.. how is a theater going to “expand its exit capacity” – You can put in another door – but if you can’t get to it because you’re overcome by the fumes of the burning foam seats and lack of oxygen… who cares how many doors there are?!

Gimme a break – the business owners aren’t concious enough to have these “common sense” life safety features in their buildings now – how the heck are they going to “regulate it” if it isn’t a law?

I wondered how long it would take for the politicians to forget the horror of that night in Rhode Island. After all what is important, public safety or political contributions? When it comes to politicians, common sense is not something they have ever heard of or experienced, they are ALL ABOUT pragmatics and who they are inconveniencing.I say if they water down the regulations, they should be required to spend an evening locked up with the victims’ survivors.
