Employment Practices Liability Insurance continues to be an over-looked line of coverage by many small to medium-sized business owners.

Hey, they “comply with all the laws”, so obviously it didn’t happen. Go figure!

After the show, they’ll march to the restaraunt and protest for 2 days with Jesse Jackson

Who cares if it happened or not. Filing a suit like this is a free meal ticket. Gotta love deep pockets.

As it always happens, it started off good with Bob citing an important and I highly agree overlooked coverage. Now we have the Sharpton and Jackson haters at it again. What is that Black people can’t have leaders but other people can. Al and Jesse may not speak for me all the time but I am a leader for myself and the kids I mentor also.

Back to the insurance matter, companies need to wake up and stop looking at insurance companies being the bad guy and cover their behinds. If you know you have employees that are committing these acts get rid of them immediately. They’re like a cancer and will only cause trickle down liability in the end. I had a boss who liked to harass folks and he was eventually fired. I could have sued but oh well, I was young and dumb at the time plus some things aren’t worth all the hassle and you expect it in certain industries – you develop a thick skin. This boss went way too in asking for some and groping people. Verbally accosting someone is one thing but physically putting your hands on someone is another!

great post but you are assuming that the allegations are actually true when we do not know if they are or not. for me, an allegation is an allegation until it is proven true by either a trier of fact or law.

As for Curious, i was being somewhat sarcastic and a bit disingenuous in my post and speaking from the pltf POV as they don’t care if what they (or their atty) states is the truth or not, they only want a settlement and money. sorry but the truth hurts.

It is important to note that the criminal prosecutor not only found no merit to the accusations, but found the claimant to be incredible. This is different than saying that theere is insufficent proof to bring criminal charges. This should be a “red flag” for some to step back and consider that the Tavern may be actually innocent in this case. – The Duke Lacrosse case comes to mind. By the Way, anyone knows how is case against Isiah Thomas and Knicks going? –
I would like to find out if there were prior allegations against the Mgr. before the Tavern received the EEOC Complaint. After all, the tavern could not have stopped it, if they were not aware of it.
