    The family deserved the benefit.

Better the family of this hero gets it, rather than the $250,000 rotting in Jefferson’s freezer or being used as pork for one of our other elected political schmucks.

    Am I missing something here.

I wonder what rules are made for. Sad the guy lost his life, but the judge just decides rules are there for her to override. She’s awfully generous.

He left his full-time duty as a firefighter in 1998 and was working full time as a lawyer. His life insurance, along with whatever compensation came from the 9/11 funds, which by the way I’ve heard is very generous, should be all he gets.

Incredible. Most be a judge from the left-coast. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/nation/20070622-1639-herodeathbenefits.html

    Hey ad:
Would you feel that way if he saved your life or if you lost him on 9/11. How ungrateful.

Knew I would get someone mad.

Funny, you’re probably in the insurance industry and you fail to recognize that you don’t give things away, which by the way doesn’t belong to you, just because you feel sorry for someone.

And I have to wonder how much the family already got. I read an article last week about a woman complaining about the father who wasn’t around to raise their son who died 9/11, and wanted to collect part of the $1 MILLION PLUS.

mcheck, please don’t distort what I am saying. The guy was brave and kind and a hero. I am happy for his family who got the benefits to 9/11 people. BUT, this does not qualify his family for a benefit he isn’t entitled to.

    Ad –

Did you not read the same article as I? Many times over it was mentioned that he was wroking at the site in the course and scope of a doctor and many people testified to that fact. The judge did not override any rule but simply interpreted the information that was provided to her and then provided a ruling. Nothing to override or ignore. I know you like to think that happened because it fits in nicely with your narrow point of view but it doesn’t mean you are right. As for the comment about the judge being from the left coast, how stupid can you be? Does it come naturally or do you work hard at it?
