There is nothing “civil” about NH lawsuits. Any lawyer supporting this type of bill makes me suspicious. As one who was sued by a neighbor (he wanted the property easement and boundary lines changed so he could have access to our property because he bought a tiny tiny plot)it was a horrible and expensive ordeal.. $10,000 out-of-pocket defense and no reimbursement from the suing party!
Fortunately the judge decided to visit the property personally and she threw out the lawsuit… We had owned our property for 15 years and the neighbors were new to the area…. how can such a suit make it to court without court costs being assessed against them???
