    This is funny to me. On one hand, they state, \”We\’re talking about saving lives,\” but further into the article, they are planning on collecting $3.7 million in tickets. OK, so is the intent more $$$ or safety.

    It doesn\’t matter much to me because it\’s not my state, but I find the message conflicting and amusing.

    Actually, they are looking to collect $3.7 million in Federal monies not from writing new tickets.

    I can pretty much assure you that it woruldn\’t be so amusing if you were rear ended or broadsided by a person yakking on a cell phone not paying attention to what they were doing. Happens all the time, even in your state.
