Wow. You know you\’ve won when the libs go ad hominem and invoke Nazism in any argument with a non-Communist. It\’s the sure sign that they have already scraped the bottom of their ideological barrell.

Oh, and hey genius, Corzine was clocked doing 70 mph in a 55 mph zone GOING HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL today.

\”The US doctrine was invented by Dr. Marvin Olasky, who went on to memorialize it in his books Renewing American Compassion (1996) and Compassionate Conservatism: What it is, What it Does, and How it Can Transform America (2000), and Myron Magnet of the Manhattan Institute. Olasky has been called the \”godfather of compassionate conservatism\”. The phrase was popularized when George W. Bush adopted it as one of his key slogans during his 2000 presidential campaign against Al Gore.\”

\”NO such thing as a \”compassionate conservative\”. That would be like saying the Nazi\’s and the SS were compassionate ethnic cleaners. Come on bulldogg quit lying to us and yourself with this \”CC\” b.s.\” – sleepydogg

In your opinion there might not be such a thing. However, there was a book written about the term. That means it exists. I am not saying that I believe the term to be plausible, but rather that your comment is inaccurate.

Thanks for the correction Jewel. How about this: compassionate conservativism might exist in theory but not in practice.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion. If that is the way you feel… personally, I have no feeling on it either way. Just remember, if someone tells you that you are wrong, tell them opinions are opinions and to STFU! :)

So what about liberalism is compassionate? In the leftist continuum between say, Al Gore at the center/left and Castro at the extreme, where\’s the love for God or man?

Thanks Jewel. I have always appreciated your comments, thoughts and opinions even if the are sometimes the opposite of mine. Thanks for the respect given to me as I give to you.

Everyone complains and usually those who complain the loudest don\’t have a leg to stand on. Maybe you all missed the article but I read about the governor accepting a ticket and writing a check for not wearing his seat belt. It appears from these posts that most of you feel that you are without sin and like casting the first stone.

As one of his final acts as governor, the compassionate conservative from Texas signed a bill regarding \”futile care\”. If someone cannot be cured a hospital has the right to \”pull the plug\” after 10 days if you cannot find another hospital to take you. The only other state with the same law is Virginia but they give you 14 days to find another hospital. Assisted suicide…hmmm I thought this administration was against that.

Was he wearing a seat belt on the way home? You would think he would be wary of speeeding again.
