I agree 100% with bulldogg—he should have to pay a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.. If he had been anyone else, you can bet they would have gotten a ticket! But I would also bet that the reason he is paying all his medical bills is because he doesn\’t want anyone to have access to his medical records.

\”Politically poisoned minds\”? I think it is rather that we have a grasp of the obvious and don\’t mind voicing our thoughts. That\’s wrong…. how?

If you need it spelled out to you: liberals like Corzine want to tell everyone else how to live (seat belt laws etc) then don\’t obey the rules. Liberals want to \”protect the envrionment\” then drive an SUV 90 mph for no particular reason. This doesn\’t raise any alarms in your empty head?

Here\’s a bzillionaire who bought two political offices with what, $100 million of his own dough? Can he even be said to have been elected, or isn\’t it rather a case of him appointing himself? Then we\’re supposed to genuflect after his magnanimous offer to pay his own bills that resulted from his irresponsible behavior. Wow. Lucky us.

It boggles the mind that this could pass without comment by you while you take to task those who notice how ridiculous all this is.

And as for the \”compassionate conservative\” remark, what are you trying to prove? Do you think that the taxpayers should pay his bills? That be compassionate – only for a liberal.

My God, I hope I don\’t ever get as cynical as all of you! Like it or not, as governor, he is entitled to have his bills paid….right or wrong he is entitled to it. If he ends up paying out of his own pocket Kudos to him. If not, then so be it. I am sure if the truth were known there have been many other personally wealthy politicians who collected from state funded health insurance that shouldn\’t have and you can bet they weren\’t just democrats! You conservatives are some of the narrowest minded humans on this planet! Maybe you would have preferred he were killed and then it would have cost the state to re-elect someone else!

Sheeesh! We\’re only saying that it is kinda odd that he would even mention paying his own bills. It\’s a left handed mea culpa is all: \”I deserve what I got for speeding and not wearing a seat belt and will pay my own bills as penance.\”

    And I\’m not a conservative, I\’m a Whig!

Politicians seem to hold themselves with higher esteem than the rest of us, so why would we not hold them to a higher standard that the rest of us. He will still be collecting his pension for life long after we all retire.

Entitled, entitled. Aren\’t the taxpayers entitled to thier governor obeying the rules as everyone else?

No, because liberalism is a hypocracy. Just look at Algore, he tells you to ride a bike and give up your car but he still flies around in a private jet and a fleet of SUVs…

I am a compasionate Conservative, I also like to point out the hypocracy of you on the left.

Yes, it would be better for him to use whatever health plan would normally pay for the governor\’s medical care. He\’s using his own money as public relations for being a bad boy.

Using his own money to get elected to the US Senate and governor of NJ scares me. I guess elected offices will be limited to the Bill Gateses and David Geffens of the world, i.e., those who can buy the offices rather than depend on thousands of contributions from their constituents.

Is it possible that Corzine is an honorable man? Maybe, if it\’s ok for the governor of NJ to give tons of money to his girlfriend who is an official with a govt employees union in NJ.

NO such thing as a \”compassionate conservative\”. That would be like saying the Nazi\’s and the SS were compassionate ethnic cleaners. Come on bulldogg quit lying to us and yourself with this \”CC\” b.s.
