In the article it stated that the NH legislature was working on a Bill regarding last May\’s floods and wanted to incorporate this years floods into the bill. Does this mean that it will be another year until it is passed? Hopefully nothing will happen next year.
I also have not heard anything about people having flood insurance. Since this happened to people that were flooded last year did they go out and purchase the coverage. Or are they expecting us to foot the bill again?

You bring up a good point. According to someone who posted on another article on IJ, the only people who ask for handouts live in the southeastern states. So, according to her, no one will be asking for a handout.

I think that some people will ask for a handout, of course, because that\’s just what some people (especially without flood insurance) do.

I hope someone will be able to give us more information as it becomes available.
