You are going to find its SOOO much harder to build anything up than tear something down. Or to rebuild a shaky system like NY WC. Gsai Gesund.

Thank you for seeking a rise in benefits for injured workers. I was hurt 5 years ago and 102.00 dollars a week is not right. People dont understand that we get cents a mile for gas and have to fight for treatment. People think because a person is on comp. they are liars and get tons of money they are not intitled to. I would love to be able to make minimum wage even it is more than my comp. check. Anyone how wants to take over my condition can have it. I did not ask to be where I am today. And so everyone knows a injured person does not get large amounts of money for any aspect of this. I just wanted to thank you for helping us people who have to deal with the ins an outs of the comp. world that others dont understand because they have not been there. Again thank you.

Tis a brutal reality when hurt on the job after years of tax breaks for hiring the disabled ,which I was, then to be pushed off and expected to make it all work with nothing.Verizon gives idiots in suits millions in quaterly bonuses yet after 13 yrs of 7 day a week 16 hr days I only get to lose a home I\’ve known since 1959.God Bless America. May corperations be held responcable for Americans health happiness and view of our American dream. Not as it is where we can each be ruined not matter how hard we worked or how hard we tried.Rates should get higher to allow life for those of us who need and respect such…

i was hurt on the job 11 years ago and will be suffering from these injuries for the rest of my life so why shouldn\’t wc have to pay for the rest of my life. had i knew that there would be a cap on wc i would have protected my future with added insurance in the event i should get hurt. you shouldn\’t cap people that are already injured but cap future injuries. this way workers can protect themselves with additional coverage before they get hurt. now on top of my injuries i have to deal with the fact i may have to move out of my rental and onto the streets. i beg you gov spitzer, do not futher hurt the already injured.

I was injured 6 years ago, I can\’t work anymore, my doctor deems at 75% disabled and I only receive $113.00 a week. The insurance company ignores most requests from my doctor like regular acupuncture treatments (so I could possibly return to work if we can get my pain under control). They never pay me for \”mileage and transportation\”, my lawyer always has to request a hearing to get anything resolved, wasting everyones time and money. I am so disgusted with the system. How can you survive by receiving $113.00 per week. I\’ll tell you how I do it. By putting regular bills on credit cards and cutting all fun expenses (my husband and I can\’t even afford McDonalds, haven\’t seen a movie in 6 years and shopping at the dollar store for Christmas presents). So needless to say we are now $10,000 in debt (credit card) and we only have $2,000 left to charge. My husband works a full time and part time job just to keep us afloat. If a cap is established (example 10 years) what then? I would receive nothing and we would lose our home. There has to be a better way. Situations for people on workers comp. who have a permanent or a partial permanent disability usually do not get better, their injury will only get worse in time (as is in my situation). It is hard enough now trying to make ends meet, I don\’t want to think about the future if I couldn\’t even receive my measly $113.00 per week. If they are trying to find where the corruption is look towards the insurance companys. They screw workers compensation and the states money everytime a hearing has to be requested for money that is rightfully owed to the claimant, even after a judges order to pay, the insurance company still doesn\’t so we have to request another hearing (waste everyones time and money again) so that the judge will impose a fine then I will finally see reimbursement. I hope the governor thinks long and hard about a cap. Thanks for hearing me sound off!!
