Wish they would do something like this in Florida. It is rediculous what these clinics charge for services.

Now if we just get the insurance industry to lessen their premiums by a percentage matching the cap reduction (which has never happened in PA when they went to caps in 1990 I might add)then maybe the insureds/people can actually benefit from this as opposed to just having even more/higher insurance carrier profibility.

I\’ve often thought the medical industry should be regulated. It\’s one of our nation\’s largest employer. Although a price cannot be put on human life, we\’ve all heard of the $6 aspirin. Regulation should be implemented to help control the spiraling cost of health care in America.

Our economic forces must be allowed to work. One of the problems with med expenses is that patients rarely see the full effect. You see a copayment or part that insurance isn\’t covering but don\’t demand to be charged less. More regulation doesn\’t solve that problem.

The more you regulate or subsidize, the more immune to market forces the underlying good or service becomes and it gets worse and worse.

Disagree. If a industry instrumental to our welfare as human beings cannot regulate itself than our government must. Otherwise healthcare becomes a service for the wealthy. Why should the insurance industry pick up the tab for both the insured and uninsured? The price of healthcare should be affordable for all of our governments citizens not a chosen few. If the healthcare cost is lowered the savings are passed on to consumer which includes those who choose to purchase a policy for fiancial stability. Those who choose not to purchase a policy should be able to access affordable healthcare without filing bankruptcy.
