Charlie, have you ever actually drank Olde Frothingslosh? Years ago while in college, beer would disappear from our apartment faster than Superman could leap those legendary tall buildings. But I bough a case of \”Ye Olde\” at Christmas my senior year, and ended up taking more than half of it home after graduation in June!

I didn\’t think there was such a thing as BAD beer. Some better than others, but not BAD.

Who could not like a brewing company that produced such a classic as Old Frothingslosh, \”the pale stale ale so light that it foams on the bottom\”.
    Google it.

It was the beauty of their can design that had me hooked. I still dream of Ms. Olde Forthingslosh on some cold winter nights.

I remember old Frothingslosh and it we bought it for a lark; not the greatest. Went to school in Slippery Rock, where we drank Rolling Rock since it was green and white, same as the school colors. As for Iron City, it was called \”headache maker\” beer, and \”Iron City will give you lead foot\” becuase of all the slag left over from steel making. If Iron City had a better taste, we would have bought it; the price was low but the price of the next day made it a bad buy. As for Genesee, cream ale or the beer, both were better brands than Iron City. And because Pittsburgh brewing contracted to Sam Adams, I haven\’t like it either. Must be something in the water or the vat….
