I\’m guessing the woman who was living with him [perhaps now a jilted former lover?] ratted him out. Otherwise, there is no way the insurance company would have known to check e-bay. That\’s my guess!
I\’m with you on this one. In looking for a ring in a home I doubt the people searching would dump out every bottle of liquid in the home on the chance it would be there. Sounds like someone tipped them off all the way around here. Maybe the live-in girlfriend actually has a conscience?
I doubt she has a consious, more like he ticked her off and she dropped the dime on him. NEVER let another, especially your lover who could be your ex-lover in on anything shady
I\’m glad to see that someone was caught for fraud but perhaps we should be looking in other places for the \”morals\” of the story – (1) don\’t have a \”lover\”, have a spouse and (2) don\’t lie, cheat and steal and you will spend far less time in jail and/or looking over your shoulder.

She may have other motives… with him out of the way, in jail. she gets to live in the house, and get the ring…??
