scaffolds can be a scarry sight and thought if you seen them collapse. but if a crane collapses do we hold the accountable to jail time? now if a company has had several safety violations and inspections have been done on a regular basis then if a fine does not help solve the issue, i can see jail time or better yet, community service time for the management. in life many times we try to take shortcuts, w/o the realization that it can be a safety issue we are bypassing. but when dealing w/the life our your employees and others whom are indirectly related (pedastrian or vehicle), you have to be concerned. our jails are already full of those whom actually need a place of segragation from the communities. placing management into the jails, does not fit the incident. a heavier fine and possible community service of hard labor not picking up trash in a park. make them work w/the city maintenance crew fixing streets or other repair work or even holding the sign saying \’slow down, workforce ahead\’. the other thing, you are now placing more workload onto the court system, so might not ever see them in court for this. so when/where/how do we hold management accountable? afterall, it starts from the top and goes to the bottom to keep any company going strong.
