i agree. safety not only for the driver but for the other drivers/pedestrians. we are truly finding out that most of the elderly drivers are not bad drivers. if you compare most of those drivers to others of the other age group, you\’ll find out that they are more likely a better group of drivers. experience does play a big part. another key: they are not in a rush to get anywhere.

I have seen elderly people change rapidly – whether it\’s eyesight, reaction time, or physical ability. I would support yearly complete testing of anyone over 70. I\’ll be more than happy to rely on public transportation or family when I reach that milestone!

I say take all the old farts off the road so there is more room for the rest of us. Most drive too slow and don\’t look when changing lanes. They are a nuisance and a hazard. I say anyone over 60 should have to pass driving test every 2 years. But, once I get to that age, the law should be repealed as I know I will never lose my driving skills.

I guess NH needs to do something to protect all the morons riding motorcycles with no helmets and riding in cars with no seatbelts.

well, it\’s not the elderly that change lanes w/o turn signals or otherwise…there are folks much younger whom can\’t keep the posted speed limit and can\’t stay behind others whom are maintaining a proper speed….so it does not matter what driver you are, but that you are a safe driver…
