The Bible tells you what is right and what is wrong and gay/lesbian is wrong.

Interesting that they feel so compelled to force their beliefs on the rest of us, maybe it is time for us to fight back with our beliefs which are based on the Bible and plainly what is right and what is wrong. If you are gay, God Bless you but keep it to yourself. You DO NOT deserve special favor or laws just because you are. Grow up and join the rest of the world, just keep your intimate side of you private, the public is sick of it being shoved in our faces as if that is your right to do because you are gay. No I am not a hater or a bigot, I am just fed up with all the special rights certain groups of people get and because I am not in one of those special groups, I have pay my own way and not expect the rest to make my happy and to pay my way in life. You know what? That is the way it should be for everyone. I do not owe you a living because you are gay, you are black, you are an immigrant, or you are a certain religion. Get over it already.

Here is just one reason why the civil union bull nonsense should not have been passed there and should not be passed anywhere. If they were man and wife as in the normal sense of marriage, that would apply. However, they were not legally married so they should not be able to sue. As usual, the dopes known as lawyers are always too happy to go forth with a new way to scam everyone by filing suit for something new (in case you did not know this, lawyers scour different types of insurance policies and laws to try and figure out a new area to open up to litigation). Of course it is for the good of the people that they do this and it has nothing to do with their finances!

I have heard no one put forth a rational reason why, if two women can be \”married,\” why three women shouldn\’t be allowed to pretend to be married. If so, would the other two women be eligible for loss of consortium if one were injured? What if it\’s four women and three men, would six of them be eligible for it if one were injured?

This is the main reason these people want to be allowed to marry – benefits. In other words, it\’s purely materialistic and selfish.

Ok, this couple joined in a civil union 11/12/2005 or less than one year ago. Mueller, according to this article has had \”years of treatment\” for her cancer. I don\’t understand how loss of consortium would apply here. Didn\’t Stacey\’s loss occur prior to the union? Besides that, wasn\’t she perfectly aware of Mueller’s condition prior to the union?

This is proof positive that frivolous lawsuits can be filled by both heterosexual and homosexual people.

So let me get this straight (no pun intended). This couple has been together for 21 years and because the law would not allow them to get married before a year ago, they should be punished or be told their lawsuit has no merit? Let me point out that their 21 year relationship is longer than most heterosexual marriages. As far as trying to attribute the sanctity of marriage in a country where divorces are more common than marriages, a country where a person can be married and divorced several times (sounds like the 2 & 3 women argument), a country where you can get married by Elvis, and a country that makes a game show out of marriage ( i.e.. Marry a Millionaire, Marry my Dad, etc), thats ridiculous.

Don\’t judge my relationships, and I will not judge yours!

The involvement of the state in instituting no-fault divorce has led to the proliferation of divorce. It isn\’t the inherent fault of the institution. Therefore, the solution to the high divorce rate is that no-fault divorce be done away with, not that marriage be changed after thousands of years. Further state tweaking of marriage can only lead to more disaster, as with most everything the state becomes involved with that is outside its legitimate sphere of authority.

You can engage in whatever kind of \”relationship\” you wish so long as you keep it indoors. Who cares? But to legitimize perversion by declaring it on a par with traditional marriage is ludicrous.

\”Gays\” should go and found their own civilization with its own unique institutions if that\’s what they want. Then I will say, \”Don\’t pervert my institutions and I won\’t pervert yours.\” Come to think of it, unless they recruited normal children into their \”lifestyle,\” it would be a very brief experiment, wouldn\’t it?

I think Pat\’s parents used this same argument against interfaith and interracial marriages. Well the sky didn\’t fall then and it won\’t now. Maybe bigots like you should go find your own civilization and let the enlightened people live happily and you can be miserable on your island of hate.
