I would argue that there are many many trial lawyers in heaven for doing the Lord\’s work. (Helping the disadvantaged, poor and helpless against the unscrupulous, powerful interests that would deny them justice like those poor souls that lost their lives through no fault of their own. On the otherhand, I would guess there are no corporations in heaven as they are souless entities designed for one purpose \”profit\”. Those minions that lie, cheat and steal (Enron comes to mind) for those corporations simply to enhance profit will surely have to account to their maker when the day comes. I guess we won\’t be seeing many insurance adjusters up there there

    may god bless your souls

A massive wind gust from a fast-approaching storm flips a boat that was modified by the owner/operator a few years back (to carry more passengers??) and now there\’s a lawsuit against the engine and pump mfrs? Insane, litigious society! The owner/operator and the shipyard that made the alterations to the boat are certainly on the hook, but how in the world can one find fault with these new entities being blamed?

OF COURSE they\’re at fault. They didn\’t design their engines and pumps to conform to specifications of any and all possible after-market modifications that may be done to the boat.

Don\’t you know that having deep pockets automatically obligates you to have psychic foreknowledge of all events to come, regardless of your part in them, and to ensure that you have covered all possible outcomes?

Why all the lawsuits and such. Most of the passengers were old and ready to die anyways. It saved the surviving relatives money by them not having to care for the old farts..
