    So if Allstate writes about 18% in the affected area and 18% statewide, how much do they write in the non-affected area?

    Just found out that this includes Encompass.

    Looks like Jeff needs a math lesson

    Let\’s say there are 100 homes in the affected area, and 1000 homes in NY state.

    That means Allstate insures 18 homes in the affected area and 180 homes in all of New York state. Therefore, they insure 162 homes outside of the affected area.

    If you\’re going to make a smartass comment, it had better be right.
