I will believe it when I see it. We definately need it but we also need to reform the regulations. Higher payments for disability is a must. People will get the money, with the help of attorneys, somewhere. Why not make the policy able to pay that the coverage should be under.

In stead of familys losing everything they own, we need to some how have more help in this area. Even tho most people are against WC (and they know who they are), we need a stronger voice to be heard and not shut off.

What a guy, willing to walk on the backs of every working man and woman in NY to make points with the neo-cons.
Call Albany today and tell George to stop his bad acting and get some reform that really helps injuried workers.

This legislation is long over due and should be expanded toinclude all union members who have a collective bargaining agreement. By doing so, it would make it more attractive to do business with unions because the cost of the workers comp coverage will be substanially reduced.
This would be a win-win both for the employer and the union members because of the reduced cost and the expidited method in which the worker will be treated fairly.

This makes no sense. Why would anyone want to provide an increased incentive to file a claim and stay out to receive more compensation? The only way to impact this drain on the economy is to focus resources on \”prevention\”. Continuing to treat the symptoms and not the causes is a slippery slope.

Two things have to happen before one can even begin to mop up this mess!
First, we must rid the corruption within the entire system!
Secondly, those employers that continue to ignore the safety regulations when others spend millions on prevention programs should be bearing the brunt of the cost!!!! They are out there by the gazillions!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once that gets accomplished, we can begin to reconsider the issues that plague the system! We have to keep in mind this was a compromise to law suits therefore, this should favor injured workers as industry has already received there windfall!
