Every Govenor should follow Gov. Codey’s example of putting citizens first, not big business. As the owner of a defective home in Texas the problem is more of crisis and no one cares in this state.
Gov. Codey should be Govenor of the Year.
How lucky his citizens are and obviously well cared for. I only hope this is the beginning of a trend in this country.

I hope the state of NJ gov’t is serious about installing meaningful consumer protection on home purchases. Let’s hope this is not just giving toothless lip service to lull consumers, just as the SCI investigation found that many builders “lull” customers into thinking they’ll get warranty service before the warranty deadline is up.

This kind of investigation needs to be done in EVERY STATE, and it needs serious follow up. A home purchase is one of the few things that can ruin people if it goes horribly wrong due to the fault of builders and poor code enforcement.

If you lived in NJ you would not be quite ready to throw a parade for Codey nor name a holiday in his honor. For every seemingly good thing done there are dozens of others that screw the people including allowing one of the strongest builders unions in the country to do what ever they please for the most part.

Thank-you for setting me (or us) straight. Maybe the whole story needs to be told. We can only wait and see if this is nothing more then a politcal ploy. I am sure consumer organizations will be watching very closely.
