Since many inquiring minds want to know, I just sent an email to Allstate asking for when and how and particulars of their “Allstate Returns $15 Million to N.J. Drivers”; when they respond, I will post info here.
Allstate New Jersey said it will pay a dividend to all New Jersey policyholders who have full auto insurance coverage with Allstate, have been customers since at least 1999 and had no claims in 2003. That comes out to nearly half of Allstate New Jersey’s auto policyholders.
From what I was told, You have to be with them for at least 5 years to qualify and the amount depends on how many cars you have insured with them. They also told me that checks will be going out at the end of this month. That means the checks should be in the mail if you believe them.

Does anyone know if this dividend is just for current policy holders or is retro-active and, if so, how far back it goes?

Allstate has started to send out mailings with the specifics to policyholders re: $ Returns to NJ Drivers!

I just got a check for $17.41 for having insured one car for about a year!
Anybody else get their rebate checks yet?
