The “explosion” referred to RPT not a vapor cloud explosion. ABS discounts RPTs by saying “have not resulted in any known major mishaps involving transport of LNG”. In nearly 40,000 voyages of LNG there has yet to be an RPT.
The writers of such articles have already taken a position on LNG and are serving up the ABS study to support their bias against LNG.
