Talking to a former Trauma Nurse today, she couldn\’t believe that Pennsylvania would revoke the helmut law. Most injuries are to the head. But on the brighter note, she said there would be more organs to donate.

I\’m happy Helen feels that motorcyclists are a source for harvesting organs. Perhaps she might feel differently if a member of her family died in a car accident. Seeing how head injuries are the leading cause of death in car crashes, perhaps she would support a mandatory helmet law for automobile operators and passengers in her state.
By the way Helen, you might want to start wearing that \”helmut\” soon. It appears the spelling portion of your brain has already taken a few hits.

I have heard this \’I hope you are at least an organ donor\’ argument before. I got so sick of it that the minute the \’helmut\’ law was repealed I jumped on my bike, sans brain bucket, and hot tailed it down to the DMV, and had my organ donor status removed. If that is all I am is spare parts, then let me rot.

It’s summer 2007. I am happy to note about 95% of PA riders are wearing helmets.
    Let those who ride decide.
Nice to see most of us make smart choices.
Live to ride, ride to live.
I enjoy my “donorcycle.” Harvest my usable organs if I get wacked on the road.
