The Seattle Fire Department said a three-alarm fire that destroyed a duplex-style building under construction in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood was arson.
A $10,000 reward is being offered.
The fire was caused by flammable materials ignited just outside the structure. Damage is estimated at $1 million.
Numerous calls came in to the fire department just before 11 p.m.
Firefighters discovered flames shooting 70 feet in the air from one of two new side-by-side duplexes. They were able to contain the blaze to one unoccupied building. No one was injured.
