Allstate Drops North Carolina Homeowners Who Insure Autos Elsewhere

    How can they get away with this…this is called tie in sales and most states don’t allow.

    It may be legal but that doesn’t make it right. How dare Allstate attempt to force people to purchase its auto insurance? I’m shocked the DOI didn’t have more to say about this.

    I may be wrong, but didn’t Allstate try this in another jurisdiction and they were barred by the applicable Insurance department?
