So tired of hearing this. They pulled 30,000 folks off roofs-I’d say they were there pretty quickly. Why those folks were on the roofs in the first place is the story and that’s Nagin’s mess. Love IJ running with the prevailing liberal viewpoint though. Keep saying it-maybe it will become the adopted version of history.

I agree 100%. How many people were safely evacuated prior to Katrina vs how many ignored the orders and stayed behind? One of the primary rules in my many first responder training is the local government is always responsible for the immediate response. If the infrastructure is down, how can outside help get there? Sound familiar New Orleans?

The botched response was rebuilding that cesspool. We taxpayers dropped $400,000 for every man, woman and child in that open sewer. Nagin should still be in jail for ignoring his duty to evacuate his city. How many deaths on his head?

All freaking Bush Haters out there, how much have you seen on the News about this ice storm. Almost nothing! This ice storm is 10 times as bad as Katina, but you don’t hear a blasted thing from the leftist democrated controlled media.

Perhaps the lack of ice storm coverage has something to do with global warming… er, cooling… er, climate chantge…
