This article is a self-reflection of the reality that exists after the dramatic devastation of hurricane Harvey, but not totally unexpected regarding results. As the article correctly pointed to the Houston area is exceptionally dependent on only one form of transportation, the automobile. Now they are paying the price for that error. Hopefully better planning to be implemented will mitigate future hurricane damage.

Been there twice for hurricane flood and wind damage cat claims and it is not a pretty sight to see or work in….much less for the souls who have lost most of their worldly possessions.

Wish them well and hope their infrastructure and storm protection happens.
