Cutshaw Appointed Garden City Group CEO

Atlanta-based Crawford & Company, a global independent providers of claims management services to insurers and self-insured entities, named Kenneth A. Cutshaw president and chief executive officer of the Garden City Group, LLC (GCG). Cutshaw, an executive vice president of Crawford, has been GCG’s interim president and CEO since January.

Cutshaw’s background includes being in C-level business management, law partnership, academics, entrepreneurial ventures, government service, political management and foreign policy.

QBE North America Names Burkhart SVP, Head of Management Liability & Professional Lines

QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Group, promoted John Burkhart to Senior Vice President, Head of Management Liability & Professional Lines (MLPL).

In this newly created role, Burkhart will assume responsibility for QBE North America’s entire Specialty MLPL portfolio, which includes its Public Company, Private Company, Errors & Omissions, Financial Institutions and Transactional Liability practices. He will drive the continued development and execution of QBE North America’s MLPL go-to-market strategy, while driving underwriting excellence, strong portfolio management, selective distribution and a differentiated and specialized customer experience.

Additionally,he will become the Specialty Mid-West Regional Leader, working in partnership with Field Operations to forge even stronger relationships with trading partners and clients in the region. Based in Chicago, Ill., Burkhart will continue to report to Jeff Grange, president, Specialty Insurance.

Burkhart joined QBE in 2013 as senior vice president, underwriting leader for the Public Company MLPL practice, quickly driving significant growth across the portfolio and playing a key role in the development of QBE Specialty’s premier suite of market-leading MLPL products, The Solution.

He has more than 24 years of insurance and management experience in the highly specialized MLPL arena. Over the past two decades, he has held numerous leadership roles at Chubb, including deep technical responsibility for managing global product portfolios and leading specialized underwriting teams in the UK and US, prior to joining QBE in 2013.

Anglin Promoted to SVP of Claims at Brentwood Services Administrators Inc.

Tenn-based Brentwood Services Administrators Inc. (BSA), promoted Matt Anglin, AIC, to the position of senior vice president of claims, according to Jeff Pettus, president and chief executive officer of Brentwood Services Administrators Inc.

Anglin will have an expanded role as senior vice president of claims, focusing on occupational accident and non-subscriber claims, Pettus indicates.

Previously serving as assistant vice president of claims, Anglin came to BSA in 1999 as a senior claim adjuster and worked his way up through the ranks to his current position overseeing BSA’s accident and health programs.

Anglin began his claims career as a claims adjuster in Liberty Mutual in 1994. He was named claims manager at Johnston & Associates in 1995, where he helped establish a regional third-party administrator. In 1997 Anglin became a claims adjuster with WCASC and quickly became supervisor within one year.

Anglin holds the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation.
