My Samsung H/E front loader does the same, had to throw laundry away, took me years to discover it was the wash machine. It’s a uniquely nasty smell that doesn’t come out the clothes, usually cotton. I wonder what the design flaw is?
My Samsung also got a foul oder. I wiped down every part I could access in the drum, washed the old soap out of the tray, and used the he washer cleaner and was able to remove the smell.
