    Is this hoax still out there? I thought this all went away and “cooler” heads prevailed. As new science and evidence of global warming misrepresentations and outright fraud are uncovered on almost a daily basis, well-intentioned but politically-motivated extremists from all corners of the globe are being forced to reassess the dire predictions of their environmental religion regarding the anthropogenic aspect of naturally-occurring changes in the climate. They’ve even had to rename global warming – it’s now called “climate change.”

    In 2008, more than 31,000 scientists from across the county – including more than 9,000 Ph.D.s in fields such as atmospheric science, climatology, Earth science, environment and dozens of other specialties – signed a petition rejecting the so-called “consensus” on anthropogenic (man-made) global warming, the assumption that man-made greenhouse gases are having an effect on Earth’s climate. It seems the sky isn’t falling after all. However, even if we take the anthropogenic component out of this, the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) only predicts a sea level rise of 59cm (17 inches) by 2100. This means boat owners might have to extend their mooring lines by a foot and the low water levels due to droughts might come back up to normal.

    All this hand-wringing is embarrassing and serves only as testament to the emotional, gullible, and reactionary side of human nature. There is one scientist who knows more about sea levels than anyone else in the world it is the Swedish geologist and physicist Nils-Axel Mörner, formerly chairman of the INQUA International Commission on Sea Level Change. And the uncompromising verdict of Dr Mörner, who for 35 years has been using every known scientific method to study sea levels all over the globe, is that all this talk about the sea rising is nothing but a colossal scare story.

    Despite fluctuations down as well as up, “the sea is not rising,” he says. “It hasn’t risen in 50 years.” If there is any rise this century it will “not be more than 10cm (four inches), with an uncertainty of plus or minus 10cm”. And quite apart from examining the hard evidence, he says, the elementary laws of physics (latent heat needed to melt ice) tell us that the apocalypse conjured up by
    Al Gore and Co could not possibly come about.

    Are you reading impaired? Neither the initiatives being discussed nor this article have anything to do with whether climate change is man-made. This article is about the fact that climate change IS happening, regardless of the cause, and local officials need to have in place plans to mitigate the effects of it. Sheesh.

    Deny this;
    *Not one single IPCC warning says; it WILL be a crisis or is; “inevitable” or “eventual”.*

    If science can only say it “could be” be a crisis, you climate blame believers can’t say it WILL be a crisis, just “could be” like science has for 30 years.

    Believe all you like but it’s still a “maybe” crisis in the words of science no matter how much you wanted this misery to have been true for our children.
