Outsourcing Claims Functions

    Kevin, you put it so politely. The bean counters still don’t get that these factors–outsourcing, cutting independent adjustment expenses and other allocated expenses,using cheaper experts who don’t get stellar results–ultimately increases spend. Not sure how we can will ever get that message across to those who make financial decisions without truly understanding their impacts.

    The reasons for outsourcing are always numerous and many times quite complicated and occur other than for financial company reasons. I look forward to the remaining articles on this very pertinent question. I do hope however, that at least one of your authors comment on the need for cooperation between the company rep and the chosen independent who, as an independent myself but former company claims supervisor normally works as hard for his principal, client-customer as their employee would since that is the independent’s chance for business that is one the line.
