This just goes to show how incompetent our nurses are becoming not because they lack the skill but maybe because they lack the motivation to work. Negligence is common in nursing practice which is a possibility when a nurse is not motivated to do the work that is required of him/her.

This article is about Nurse Practitioners not Nurses ( RN s) it does prove something just not what you posted. It proves that we need Primary Care Physicians overseeing the care with the NP Independent Nurse Practitioners practice is not working as well as thought.
Physicians are needed for the more complicated cases

Nurse Practitioners cannot replace primary care physicians, the study shows that 39% had sanctions against them by the Nursing Boards for Malpractice with over 3% losing their License. A 19% increase in Malpractice cases since 2009 is a warning that if we do not increase Primary Care Physicians in this country then we all will suffer with poorer outcomes in care.
