I worked like a dog at an office for ten years. They brought a new male in and paid him 40% more than I was being paid. Guy sat on his backside all day making personal calls. He was just biding time until the job he really wanted elsewhere came up. Found out about the inequity in pay when he left, by accident; guy left documents relating to his salary in his office after he booked.
Under the soon to be old rules, you would not be able to do a thing about it. 180 days from when the employer decides to pay a guy more is all you had. You did not even find out about it until after he was gone.
What a bunch of BS, Glad. YOU probably went out on maternity leacve 4 times in 10 years causing backloads and male counterparts had to pick up your slack.
Breeding years of contempt for you as you stole money under the guise of FMLA. I’ve seen it time and time and time again. Women are responsible for stagnated and lowering of wages for males due to these types of things.
I am a working woman, who has not taken maternity leave (and does not plan to,) used only three days of vacation last year and has taken a vow to never be out sick. Most work weeks I am putting in 75 hours. The women that you speak of from the 1950’s whose major role in the work place was to make coffee has significantly changed over the years. I suggest you stop taking the time to post ridiculous things on insurance journal and get out of the office and go mingle with the real world. If this is not the case then you must have been living in a bomb shelter for the last decade or so.
While you may not agree with this ruling, please do not lump all females into one category.
Idiocy is apparently running rampant on this site lately.

Well, Reagan, your comments are certainly unwarranted. Male chauvinist pig are you?
Did you seriously just post that Reagan?

Reagan, what an idiot!! Do you need some anger management classes to get over your problems?
I have to agree. Reagan, you are way off base with your comments.
The article is about women not being paid as much as their male counterparts. It was not about a woman’s option to have children.
Last I knew, it took sperm to fertilize an egg.
